Our content production process was heavily focused on the web and our best stories from the web, both in concept and analytics, were selected for the print edition. Visuals became heavily emphasized as well, which included more photo stories being featured, like on the April 2016 cover, featuring nude models from the art department.
By the end of my first semester, the magazine was not doing as well as I wanted it to be. Both the content and design was boring, and it was not as consistent as the Collegian. Over winter break, I did an overhaul of the magazine, in both the design and the format. The magazine was no longer a themed publication, but rather in a more traditional magazine format with distinct sections and a cover story. The design was also made more consistent and clean.
